The Friends of Creston Children’s Dental Clinic is a nonprofit organization that provides no-cost dental care to low-income children in the Portland Public Schools who otherwise would not be able to afford to pay for dental services. The clinic is located at Creston Elementary School in Southeast Portland.
The clinic was founded in 2011 by a group of parents and community members who were concerned about the lack of access to dental care for low-income children in Portland. The clinic is staffed by volunteer dentists, dental hygienists, and other dental professionals.
The clinic provides a variety of dental services, including exams, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and fluoride treatments. The clinic also offers sealants to prevent cavities, and fluoride varnish to strengthen teeth.
The Friends of Creston Children’s Dental Clinic is funded by donations from individuals, businesses, and foundations. The clinic is also supported by grants from the Meyer Memorial Trust and other organizations.
The clinic is open to all children who attend Portland Public Schools, regardless of their immigration status or ability to pay. To make an appointment, parents or guardians can call the clinic at (503) 788-1051.
